AARON SHAPIRO (Production/General Manager) - has made his career in Chicago as a freelance production and general manager. He has most recently managed on COMMERCIAL productions such as Hit Her With the Skates, Miracle the Musical, and Eleanor's Very Merry Christmas Wish.  Previously he served full time job as the Production Manager at Victory Gardens Theatre and Emerald City Theatre. Their he helmed such award winning productions as Hand to God, A Wonder In My Soul, Queen, Native Gardens, Fun Home, and Fade. Earlier credits include DISENCHANTED and UNSPEAKABLE at the Broadway Playhouse, Jeff Nominated and Awarded productions of Heathers with Kokandy Productions, The Rainmaker with American Blues Theatre, Stupid F*cking Bird with Sideshow Theatre. At Porchlight Music Theatre, where Aaron was an Artistic Associate, he lead the production teams through three seasons including Dreamgirls, Far From Heaven, Sweeney Todd, A Funny Thing Happened, Side Show, Ain’t MisBehavin’ and Sondheim on Sondheim. Aaron began his career as the founding Artistic Director for Oracle Productions where he served for 4 years. He is also the co-founder of Studio BE/MCL Chicago in Lakeview where served as Executive Director for 5 years. Aaron has worked for over 100 different theatre and production companies, and educational institutions as an electrician, carpenter, sound engineer, designer, tech director, director, production manager, and producer.
